Brush had trouble keeping up with Perry Pirates in a 9-2 loss on Tuesday at Perry.
The Pirates jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Owen McKoon doubled, scoring two runs, and Trent Taylor hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Perry added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Crofoot grounded out, and Brush committed an error, each scoring one run.
Connor D'Astolfo earned the win for Perry, surrendering one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none.
Deshawn Dammons took the loss for Brush. The hurler went four innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking three.
Jelani Carr, the number nine hitter, led the Arcs with two hits in three at bats, while
Keith Feagin, Jr. and
Isaac Sypniewski each drove in one run for Brush.
Perry amassed 10 hits in the game. McKoon, Cade Henderson, Taylor, and Crofoot each collected two hits for the Pirates.
