Madison took advantage of eight Brush errors to score 15 runs on nine hits, defeating the Arcs 15-8 Thursday afternoon.
A single by Evan Smith following a six-pitch at-bat put Madison on the board in the bottom of the first. A sacrifice fly by Ben Amos, a double by Nathan Yarnell, and a ground out by Smith helped the Blue Streaks extend their early lead in the second.
Madison added to its early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Luke Gibbons singled down the left field line, Brendan Titman singled to center field, and Yarnell grounded into a double play, each scoring one run.
Brush scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning.
Kyle Farrell singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run,
Owen Thompson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and
Deshawn Dammons tripled, scoring three runs.
Landon Tomco earned the win for Madison, allowing four hits and six runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking five. Farrell took the loss for Brush after throwing three innings, giving up eight runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking three.
Dammons led the Arcs with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day.
