In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the Brush Lady Arcs defeated the Maple Heights Mustangs in straight sets, 3-0 in their volleyball match on Saturday. The Lady Arcs showed a robust performance in each set, outplaying the Mustangs by a significant margin.
The first set set the tone for the match, with the Lady Arcs clinching it with a score of 25-17. Momentum carried into the second set where they narrowly edged out Maple Heights 25-19. Demonstrating sheer dominance, the Lady Arcs wrapped up the victory in the third set, overwhelming the Mustangs 25-14.
Key players for Brush High were
Emani Dalton and
Mya Porter, each securing eight kills, followed by
Karma Warner with six kills, significantly contributing to the team's victory. Defensively,
Prajita Tamang led with nine digs, supported by Porter and
Shilah Sample who both added six digs apiece. The team's strategic gameplay was evident in their serving, amassing 25 aces compared to Maple's 11, with Sample striking six aces and Warner adding four.
