The Brush track and field teams had a host of outstanding performances at the OHSAA Division I Northeast District Track & Field Championship held at Nordonia! These athletes placed in the top four of their events, earning a spot at the Regional Championship.
Brielle Ray dominated the shot put, capturing first place with a new school record of 40-5 ½ inches. She remains undefeated in the event this season. Brielle also secured fourth place in the discus (106-11), qualifying for Regionals in two events.
Freshman
Destiny Johnson ran a strong race in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing fourth and advancing to Regionals.
Hailey Flowers delivered an impressive performance in the 800-meter run, placing third with a time of 2:23.28.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Jordan Quinn,
Sydney Quinn,
Kennedie Worsham, and
Hailey Flowers raced to a third-place finish, earning a trip to Regionals.
On the boys' side, Demar Bradford qualified for Regionals in the high jump by placing fourth. Unfortunately, due to injury, Demar's season has come to an early end. We wish him a speedy recovery.
