Girls Track Wins NDCL Quad, Boys Place Third

In their first meet of the outdoor season, the Brush Lady Arcs dominated at the NDCL Quad Meet on Wednesday, claiming first place with an impressive 78 points—46 points ahead of the second-place team. Meanwhile, the Brush boys secured a solid third-place finish with 42 points.

The girls' team showcased its sprinting depth, with Kassidy Ware (13.72) and Shianne Lipscomb (13.78) finishing first and second, respectively, in the 100-meter dash. Ware also took home the 200-meter dash title in 28.84 seconds. Hailey Flowers added another victory in the 400-meter dash (1:03.58), while Emilie Farren swept the distance events, winning the 800-meter run (2:55.30) and the 1600-meter run (6:37.52). Destiny Johnson powered through the 100-meter hurdles to win in 16.20.

The Lady Arcs dominated the relay events, winning all four: the 4x100 (52.70), 4x200 (1:53.28), 4x400 (4:26.06), and 4x800 (11:03.80).

On the boys' side, David Tyus delivered a strong performance, winning the 400-meter dash in 55.86. In the 300-meter hurdles, Chayce Brewer (46.88) and Josiah Anthony (48.47) placed third and fourth, respectively. The boys' 4x800-meter relay team pulled off a thrilling victory, edging out Cleveland Central Catholic by just .05 seconds, finishing in 8:59.22.
