After recording the winningest season in program history and reaching the OHSAA Division III State Semifinals, the Brush Lady Arcs return for the 2025-26 campaign with a schedule built to challenge one of Ohio's premier girls basketball programs. Brush finished 24-3 a season ago and will again compete against some of the toughest teams in the Midwest.
This year's 22-game schedule includes seven home games, six true road games, and nine showcase events, highlighted by an invitation to the Chicago Elite Classic, where the Lady Arcs will take on national powerhouse Whitney Young on December 7.
"Coming off of an unforgettable season that saw us reach the State Final Four, our expectations remain high — and so does our level of competition," adds head coach Demarris Winters. "This year, we've built one of the most challenging schedules in program history. Our team will compete not only against some of the top programs in Ohio, but also on the national stage through several prestigious out-of-state showcases. These events will push our players to grow, test our team's resilience, and prepare us for another deep postseason run."
The slate also features matchups against five teams that reached the OHSAA Final Four in their respective divisions last season:
Olmsted Falls – November 29
Afrocentric – December 13
Toledo Notre Dame – December 21
Magnificat – January 7 (Home)
Anthony Wayne – January 10 (Home)

Returning for Brush are three starters from last year's Final Four lineup, including 2025 Ohio Ms. Basketball finalist
Tatiana Mason,
Nylah Mason, and 6'2 senior post standout
Jakalyn Brown. Junior
Tatiana Mason averaged 18.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last season, earning Northeast Lakes District Division I Player of the Year honors while establishing herself as one of the state's most dominant two-way players. Her younger sister, Nylah, set a Brush single-season record with 45 made three-pointers while also leading the team with 82 steals, providing elite perimeter scoring and defensive disruption. Brown anchored the interior for the Lady Arcs, pulling down nearly eight rebounds per game and controlling the lane on both ends.
"We've assembled a talented and driven roster that reflects what Brush basketball is all about — toughness, togetherness, and relentless effort. Every game this season will be a test, but that's exactly how champions are made," says Winters. "Our players have embraced the challenge and are committed to representing our school and community with pride."
Now entering his 10th season at the helm, Head Coach Demarris Winters is approaching a major career milestone, currently sitting at 196 career wins, just four away from reaching the 200-win mark.
The Lady Arcs will again be among the region's most watched teams, blending championship experience, elite talent, and one of the toughest schedules in the state.
Coach Winters invites all of you — our fans, families, alumni, and community members — to pack the gym, travel with the Lady Arcs, and continue to show the same spirit that makes Brush basketball special. Your presence and support mean more than you know.
