Christopher Tangen, DO, is a University Hospitals sports medicine physician.

Dr. Tangen earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While at Miami University, he was a starter for the varsity wrestling team. He completed a family medicine residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Tangen is the lead medical team physician at Kent State University, and head team physician for Charles F. Brush High School, Bedford High School, and Richmond Heights High School.
