Lady Arcs softbll won big over Bedford 15-4 on Monday.
Brush got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after
Raia Ross hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs, one run scored on another play,
Mackenzie Griffin singled, scoring one run, and
Nyla Ross singled, scoring two runs.
A fielder's choice by Ross extended the Lady Arcs lead to 8-4 in the bottom of the third inning.
Brush scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Prajita Tamang singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run,
Yanni Ramsey singled, scoring one run, and A CARTER induced
Jeida Gardner to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored.
Gardner pitched three innings in relief for Brush. The righty surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) while, striking out six and walking one. Tamang stepped in the circle first for Brush Varsity Arcs. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. CARTER stepped in the circle first for Bedford. The hurler gave up nine hits and 15 runs (seven earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking seven.
Ramsey led the Lady Arcs with three hits in four at bats. Ross and Ross each drove in three runs.
Kassidy Burge led Brush with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Burge,
Leah James, and Ross each stole multiple bases for Brush which stole 12 bases in the game.
M ASHLEY went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. E DAVISON and ASHLEY each collected one hit for Bedford. DAVISON stole three bases. Bedford ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. Bedford turned two double plays in the game.
