The Brush boys soccer team picked up its first victory of the 2025 season with a convincing 4-1 decision over visiting Lorain, Thursday night at Korb Field.
From the outset, the Arcs dominated the game, showing aggressive and strategic plays that involved numerous shots on goal, including six that distressingly hit either the post or the crossbar. After Lorain opened the scoring late in the first half, Brush responded with the next four goals in the final 12 minutes leading to a promising halftime score of 4-1.
Nathan Underwood registered the first goal for the Arcs before
Luis Barrientos and
Josue Melgar added to the tally. The team's fourth goal, an own goal by Lorain, further solidified their lead.
Benjamin Denk notably assisted on Barrientos' goal, adding to the critical plays of the game.
Ean Freeman, the team's goalie, performed commendably in defending Brush's goal throughout the match.
