In an exhilarating volleyball match Thursday night, the Brush Lady Arcs claimed a decisive victory against the Euclid High School Panthers, winning three sets to none. The match highlighted the Arcs' dominance in their home court setting as they emerged victorious with scores of 25-7, 25-11, and 25-9 in consecutive sets.
The first set commenced with the Arcs setting a relentless pace, a tone mirrored in
Emani Dalton's impressive 9 kills leading the charge. The set culminated with a score of 25-7, firmly setting the tone for the match. The second set saw a slight resurgence from the Panthers, but the Arcs, led by
Karma Warner and
Mya Porter who contributed 4 kills each, quickly quelled their momentum, closing the set at 25-11. In the third and final set, the Arcs confirmed their definitive prowess on the court with a closing score of 25-9, securing a clean sweep in their showdown.
Defensively, the Arcs showed strong performances with
Shilah Sample making 5 digs and
Violet Wiegand contributing 4. Offensively, their gameplay was bolstered by an impressive number of aces, with
Shilah Sample and
Violet Wiegand delivering 9 and 8 aces respectively. The team totaled an outstanding 27 aces, underscoring their tactical efficiency and service strength.
