The Brush boys basketball team opened up the postseason with a scrappy defensive effort, forcing Garrett Morgan into 22 turnovers as the Arcs cruised to a 68-33 victory Saturday afternoon.
Brush capitalized on the Falcon turnovers to the tune of 22 points on the offensive end for the Arcs, who held their opponent to under 20% shooting (9-for-46) on the day. On the flipside, Brush shot 51% from the field thanks to a 46-10 advantage on points in the paint.Â
Jay Gilchrist led the Arcs with 14 points and five rebounds, while
Khalil Dudley was the only other Arc in double figures with 11.
Brush will host CVCA in the district semifinal this Wednesday at 7pm.
