Damari Dammons have been named the Arc Athletes of the Week for their performances this past week.
Competing in the 170lb weight class, Johnson won her second consecutive tournament by posting a 6-0 record over the weekend at the Lady Longhorn Holiday Tournament, improving her overall record to 20-2. In the semifinals, Johnson won an 11-6 decision over Vermilion's Faith Sergent before defeating Seraiah Jackson of Elyria by fall in the first-place match.
Damari Dammons averaged 20 points, six rebounds and 2.5 steals in two games this week for the Arcs. He led Brush to a convincing 70-25 victory over Toledo Scott, nearly outscoring the Bulldogs himself with 21 points. Against Sandusky Dammons scored 19 points, going 3-for-6 from three-point range and grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.
