The Brush girls basketball team pushed its winning streak to 11 games on Saturday with a 52-47 win over a prominent Detroit Country Day squad, at the MLK Showdown at Big Walnut High School.

After the Lady Arcs (13-2) jumped out to a 27-17 halftime lead, Country Day (10-2) rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Brush 18-8 to tie the game heading into the final frame. The Brush underclassmen trio of
Chaniyra McDowell-Isaacs,
Tatiana Mason and Nylah Mason continued to carry the load down the stretch, combining for 14 of the team's 17 fourth-quarter total.
Freshman Nylah Mason poured in seven of her 12 points in the fourth quarter for Brush.Â
Tatiana Mason finished the night with 16 points, while McDowell-Isaacs' game-high 17 earned her MVP honors.
The Lady Arcs face another tough opponent tomorrow when they'll take on Berlin Hiland in the Classic in the Country.
