In his first game as an Arc, quarterback Jay Gilchrist threw four touchdown passes, all to junior wide receiver Trumar Salette, but it wasn't enough as Brush fell to Lorain 40-25 in the season opener.

The teams traded scores throughout the first half, resulting in a 20-19 Titan lead at the half.  However, Lorain reeled off 20 straight points after the break before Gilchrist connected with Salette on the last play of the game from 20 yards to provide the final 40-25 margin.

Brush will host Shaker Heights next Friday at 7pm at Korb Field.
