The Brush boys and girls swimming teams picked up their first victories of the season on Wednesday, defeating Euclid 80-19 (girls) and 58-46 (boys).
On the girls' side,
Eliana Sypniewski and
Holly Raynor both recorded two first place finishes in individual events. Sypniewski captured first place finishes in the 100m butterfly (1:16.06) and the 50m freestyle (28.18), while Raynor won the 200m freestyle and the 100m breast stroke. They were both part of the winning 200m medley relay joining
Savannah Augustine and
Lizzie Cifuentes. Augustine also recorded a first-place finish in the 200m IM, as did Cifuentes in the 500m freestyle.

Camila Chacon,
Uliana Miz and
Morgan Simpson teamed up to win the 200m freestyle relay with a time of 2:49.46.
In the boys' competition, junior
Luke Raynor won both the 100m freestyle (1:00.30) and the 100m backstroke. In addition,
Chase Wall captured the 200m freestyle crown and Tristan Skelton also came in first in the 100m breast stroke. Raynor, Wall, Skelton and
Geofferson Betts teamed up to swim the first-place time of 2:31.40 in the 200m medley relay and another top finish in the 200m freestyle relay (2:01.35).
