Brush senior Keyarra "Moo" Shields has been named one of 24 young ladies selected to participate in the Under Armour All-America Girls Flag Game in Orlando, Florida on January 2, 2025.
A wide receiver and defensive back for the Lady Arcs flag football team, Shields was the top offensive weapon for coach Jerome Jackson, helping guide Brush to an undefeated 8-0 regular season in 2024. Shields, who is also a member of the district champion girls basketball team at Brush, showcased her skills back in the spring at a regional camp here in Ohio. Her performance there resulted in an invitation to the Under Armour Next Camp at IMG Academy in June, which subsequently led to her earning All-American status and the invitation to the national game.
"Keyarra's skill set is a combination of phenomenal agility and precise route running ability," says Jackson. "Her playmaking abilities have allowed us to never be out of a game. The biggest skill that she brings to our team is the ability to make everyone around her a better player and be an extension of our coaching staff."
The 2025 season will be the third for the Brush flag football program which is one of several area schools that have been instrumental in growing the game regionally and statewide.
